A building with staff, tenants or customers in it needs three things a house does not. A stated plan for who is told what and when, which the federal guidance treats as its own topic. A work schedule that acknowledges occupied hours, since negative pressure equipment is loud and access routes get consumed by the enclosure. And a written boundary between the remediation contractor's work and the building's other trades, because a commercial job almost always involves a roofer, a mechanical contractor or a plumber whose repair has to happen before the enclosure can come down. Protective equipment expectations rise with the scope as well, with the guidance treating an N-95 respirator, gloves and eye protection as the minimum for investigating or working around growth.
